PATRON OF CARE For the past two years the Care Conference
has been a successful vehicle Subjects such as adoption, grief, aging, infertility, mental illness, teens in crisis and many more have been designed to inform attendees on issues they may or may not be dealing with personally, but they do know people who are. The goal is to provide an awareness of the struggles your neighbor or coworker may be experiencing, along with suggestions of simple things you can say or do to be of help. We also try to cover the basics necessary for care and kindness to flourish, i.e., listening skills, understanding of feelings, and prayer. Unfortunately, the costs of the conference have necessitated registration fees that are higher than we would like. We make every effort to keep our expenses down to the bare minimum, yet many people are still not able to afford the cost of the conference.
Our deepest desire is to make this conference widely available so that anyone may attend who has a desire to improve his/her ability to be a good friend, parent, neighbor or just a better person. If you share our vision—spreading a wave of care around the world—we would appreciate any donation to the Patron of Care program. Donations of $500 or more will receive the very special, limited edition Patron of Care award. You may send your tax-deductible donation to: Patron of Care ——— Shirley Zink |
