Kindness Conference 2006
The ninth annual Conference on Care and Kindness was held at the Crystal Cathedral March 16, 17, 18, 2006. The conference was dedicated to the memory of Johnnie Carl and to honoring him as the Conductor and Arranger for the Crystal Cathedral and Hour of
Power Orchestra for nearly 30 years.
A combination of plenary sessions and smaller workshops provided transformation, motivation, and
inspiration.
This collage of pictures taken during the three-day event and a few of the quotations taken from evaluation forms that were submitted at the close of the conference give an indication of the joy and growth reported by the participants.

- Opened up a new door for my
processing and thoughts.
- Done with love and kindness by all involved.
- I started the conference burned out, so the 1st day was difficult for me. Each day got better, and I am feeling refreshed now.
- Excellent! Usually I’m not excited about any panel. This was the best I’ve ever attended!
- He has a way of bringing care and kindness to the reality of living.
- Great conference – also a time of renewing and affirmation of working where/who we are.
- Good reminder – Needed to be reminded to move out of my comfort zone.
- Wonderful! Thank you for such encouragement. God is good!
- I want to be known as a Care and Kindness Church – good information.
- Thank your, Dr. Kok, for your wonderful
ministry which keeps on spreading through all who attend this conference and all who are touched by your humble, yet powerful sharing of your many gifts. I really like your idea of Care and Kindness churches.
- I was very impressed by the topics – Real Life Stuff – and the vulnerability of the presenters.
- Makes me want to continue to serve with a cheerful heart.
- This is the first one I attended but it is just the inspiration I needed to get me involved in a “special” ministry where I live.
- This is not an accident for me to be here. I
believe and feel that God led me to be here and to learn more on kindness and caring.
